The Silver Dragon
i love colors, food (especially if you can eat the bowl) and exercise. I'm a southern city girl but I think it's silly when people say I have an accent because they have an accent too. big whoop. I'm mature only in the sense that I take care of myself and don't tell other people how to live their lives. I've been practicing yoga for nearly a year now and am strongly considering becoming a yoga instructor (if i can get the money for it).
I am going to major in Psychology and Physics and get a doctorate in at least one of those and a masters in the other.

In case you cannot read: A FETUS IS NOT A HUMAN BEING. A ZYGOT HAS MORE IN COMMON WITH A PARASITE THAN AN ADULT HUMAN. PRO-LIFERS ARE NOT SAVING KIDS. THEY ARE DESTROYING WOMEN’S RIGHTS. IT’S SIMPLE. IF YOU DON’T WANT AN ABORTION, DON’T HAVE ONE.
If abortion becomes illegal because some super religious Christian becomes president…. abortions would still happen. With coat hangers. The amount of babies found in trashcans would rise.
I don’t like that we need abortions. I think birth control should be so effective, accepted and wildly used that we won’t need for abortions to happen except in rare cases. However I completely agree with this. If they’re outlawed, more people will die, mothers and the children from abortions that aren’t done legally and safely with a doctor. I don’t think we should need abortions, but I don’t think they should be outlawed either.

Until today I’d assumed “whitewashing” (the practice of bleaching one’s skin to alter its color to a lighter and thus more appealing tone) had all but died in most parts of the modern world.

WOW that is the most disgusting thing ever. I honestly think they look prettier in their normal/natural skin tone. This is why i stay away from magazines, such awful ideas of beauty will never get my money.

Marina Abramović - The Artist Is Present: This emotional exhibit, held in the Museum of Modern Art for three months in early spring 2010, featured Abramović sitting in a chair for the entirety of the day at the museum. Visitors were encouraged to sit silently across from the artist for a duration of their choosing, becoming participants in the artwork. Abramović, acting as an “emotional mirror” to the patrons, silently stared at them, often inducing deeply profound and heartbreaking reactions.
I am really, really fascinated by this. When I tried to empathize just sitting in a chair across from someone and being present in that silence and face-to-face contact, the welling vulnerability brought a mist to my eye, too. Think about this— how often today, in the age of emails, text messages, and tumblr apps, do we spend a prolonged and focused period of time maintaining eye contact with anybody. Extra credit: see Ann Hamilton’s mouth-operated pinhole cameras, at 11:00-13:00 in the video. Hear what she says about face-to-face?
